Kendal suffered a disappointing weekend losing 4-2 at Hucknall. The team were below their usual standards, I think the 2 penalties in 2 minutes of the 2nd half rocked the team a little bit.

They will be glad that theirs a match on Tuesday night away at Stocksbridge, who are top, it’s a big game, and one both teams will be keen to take something from.

David Standley has been training for the past 2 weeks and could make a return on Tuesday night, his experience and steel will help the team on the night.

It would be typical of Kendal to respond on Tuesday night, and I reckon they have a very good chance of doing so.

The leagues shaping up to be an interesting competition, their isn’t one team on a fine run of form, the likes of Bradford Park Avenue, FC United and Boston who are expected to do well are very much up and down. Whilst the likes of Ashton are surprising a few climbing up to 2nd.

Stocksbridge being the leaders is somewhat a surprise and they lost on Saturday, it will be interesting too see how they go against Kendal and how Town do against them.

Everything from top to bottom is up for grabs and teams are jostling into position in readiness for the business end of the season later on in the campaign. All at Kendal hope they will be the top dogs come the end of the season.
