Kendal Wattsfield Ladies entertained Dalton in their first home match of the season and ran out worthy 3-1 winners.

Doing most of the attacking and playing some excellent passing football, KW created numerous chances, but could not find a way past a very good Dalton ’keeper, who made two outstanding saves in the first half.

With half time approaching KW finally broke the deadlock, when Jo Thompson received the ball on the edge of the penalty area, beating the last defender to shoot high into the goal. However, with only thirty seconds remaining, Dalton equalised with their first shot on goal. The goal came from a cross which wasn't cleared by Kendal Wattsfield, leaving their centre forward to strike from close range.

The beginning of the second half saw Dalton come more into the match, but KW soon wrestled back the initiative and began to create more chances.

However KW went 2-1 ahead On the hour mark when a stroke of luck allowed them to retake the lead. As Faye Armstrong, the ‘keeper and the defender all slid towards the ball. The ball ricochetd and struck Faye Armstrong in the face, however as the ball struck her in the face it flew into the back of the net.

Despite the lucky break it was a goal which the ladies deserved after dominating the match.

KW then made the game safe With five minutes left as, Faye Armstrong grabbed her 2nd after finding herself in space to slot the ball past the advancing keeper.

Overall: A very good win against the holders of the league, and another good performance of good passing football.
