TRAINING went very well this week as we had no game (blank weekend) and it felt a bit like pre-season, but we are ready for the month ahead.

Some of the results at the weekend went for us and I am very positive about that. I have watched every team and if we are on song my opinion is we can beat anyone.

This is our third season at this level and I want us to keep improving every year.

It is going to be a big two weeks for us as we play two of the teams around us.

We have slipped to eighth, but we are aware that if we win our games in hand we will go up to the top of the table.

I know it won’t be easy as we have some tough matches coming up.

We are up against Guiseley on Saturday. At the start of the season I told the team that if we finish above them we will be competing for the title.

They are one of the best sides in the division and are very strong.

We know all about them having played them a couple of times already this season, and it will be a tight game on Saturday.

Nantwich Town are another team that will be up there at the end of the season and the two home games in quick succession will be massive.

Paul Byrne is still a week or so away from playing and Ian Kilford isn’t quite 100 per cent fit yet but we are hoping to have him fit for Saturday’s game.

We are hoping to have a fully-fit squad to pick from and to get as many people as we can to pull out the results we need.

We face a double-header against FC United in two weeks too.

Firstly we play in the Challenge Cup at home on November 24, which should draw a good crowd, and then we travel away in the league on the 28th.

If we can have a really good month it will set us up for the rest of the season.
