TWO late Sam Alexandra penalties gave plucky Dalton United a share of the spoils at home to high-flyers Turton in Division One of the West Lancashire Football League.

Danny Locke gave Turton the lead after 25 minutes but Andrew Fraser hit back for Dalton three minutes later.

Kieron Sissons restored Turton's lead from the penalty spot just before the half-time whistle.

It was a mad last ten minutes as first Alexandra levelled on 82 before J Womack put Turton back in front. Alexandra then stepped up for another spot-kick in the 85th minute and held his nerve to give Dalton a point.

Elsewhere in the division GSK Ulverston Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw at home to bottom clubBolton County.

GSK took a 51st minute lead through Jack Gardner but Alistair Dixon hit back for Bolton County 12 minutes later.

In Division Two Kendal County pulled off a shock 3-2 win over league leaders Ladybridge at Parkside Road.

Kendal raced out of the blocks and went in-front straight from kick off when Jason Jones scored.

Kendal continued to dominate and create chances before Nick Hayton unleashed a thunderbolt from long distance making it 2-0 on 33 minutes.

County then added a third on the stroke of half time through Brody Moffatt.

In the second half County had to hang on as Ladybridge fought back.

Gary Whiteside pulled one back on 72 minutes before Benson Johnson added another on 80 minutes to set up a tense last ten minutes.

County though hung on to take the three points.

The result was only Ladybridge's second away defeat of the season.

In the Premier Division Garstang's match at home to Crooklands Casuals was postponed.

Askam United progressed to the quarter final of the WLFL Presidents Cup with a close 3-2 win away at Lytham Town thanks to a late winner from Marc Ayres.

Matthew France and Kris McLean gave Askam an early lead but a Rick Tomlinson double brought Lytham level before Ayres hit in the 78th minute.
