AMBLESIDE United put a halt to an eleven game losing streak with a hard-fought draw at home to relegation rivals Lytham Town in Division One of the West Lancashire Football League.

The visitors took the lead through Rick Tomlinson on seven minutes before Kacper Kesy and Jake Walker put the Lakes club in front.

Tomlinson bagged his second five minutes before half-time before completing his hat-trick on 47 minutes.

But their lead was short-lived as Tom Routledge replied almost immediately as Ambleside picked up their first points since late September.

Two own goals helped GSK Ulverston Rangers to a 3-0 win over fifth-placed Burscough Richmond.

Rangers, who sit in 11th place, took the lead thanks to the own goals in the 54th and 65th minute before Jack Gardner sealed the win six minutes from time.

A brace from Andrew Fraser helped Dalton United leapfrog Lytham into 12th thanks to a 3-0 win away at Mill Hill St Peters.

Fraser scored his goals in the opening 45 before Gareth Jones got his name on the scoresheet after 67 minutes.

Over in Division Two, Milnthorpe Corinthians were not distracted from their cup exploits as they saw off CMB 2-0.

Matthew Knipe and Michael Packman with the goals in the space of two second-half minutes.

Kendal County continued their good run of form after a narrow 1-0 win over nine-man Leyland.

Leyland, who currently lie second in the table, saw two of their players dismissed for bad challenges.

Kendal dominated and should have won more convincingly but Dan Ferguson's effort midway through the first half proved to be the difference.
