KENDAL County stormed to a massive 6-2 victory over Leyland United to bring them to within two points of West Lancashire League Division Two leaders CMB.

The game was all but over in the first half as County went 4-0 up after 39 minutes from Joe Baker, Nathan Dixon, Danny Ferguson and Luke Selby before United gave themselves a lifeline through Dillon Agnew.

But Wallace-Moffatt found the net twice in the after the break before David McCarty scored a consolation for United.

In Division One Dalton United suffered their 11th defeat of the season when they lost 2-1 to Poulton.

Gareth Jones scored for Dalton after 29 minutes but Poulton found their way back into match just before half-time as Adam Sharrocks fired home.

Andy Harvie secured the much-needed victory for Poulton which leaves Dalton at the bottom of the table by six points.

Crooklands Casuals snatched a lucky 1-0 victory against Vickerstown in the Premier Division thanks to an own goal from ex-Cassies player Danny Graham that allowed them to climb to 11th place.

Vickerstown made their task difficult when they were reduced to 10 men early in the second half as Steve Kewley was dismissed for dissent before a Ben Harvey cross from the right was turned in by Graham to decide a tight game.

GSK Ulverston Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw away to strugglers Hurst Green despite taking an early lead through James Pinegor.

The home side came out all guns blazing in the second half and equalised after 48 minutes through Sam Whittaker.

Milnthorpe Corinthians, who were due to face Furness Rovers, and Swarthmoor Social, scheduled to play Croston Sports, had their games postponed.
