TERRIBLE weather put pay to most of the fixtures in the Blue Fin Insurance Westmorland Football League.

Only eight games managed to survive the elements throughout all four divisions.

In the Westmorland League Division One, Kendal Utd and Windermere battled out a 2-2 draw in a very entertaining encounter at Bulmire Stripes.

Windermere shocked the hosts taking an early lead through Reece Barnes, before Cameron Stewart equalised for Kendal Utd just 10 minutes before half time.

But Kendal came out firing and started the second half brightly, going ahead through a good finish from Andrew Lockhart.

Lockhart responded well after having what seemed like a perfectly good goal ruled out for off side.

With Kendal gaining all the momentum, Windermere fought back and equalised against the run of play through Joseph Dickson.

Despite both sides creating some good opportunities the game ended all square.

At Frenchfields, Sedbergh Wanderers' impressive season continued after a last gasp 3-2 win at Penrith Reserves.

Elliot Oxley, Dean Raw and Brad Dalzell got themselves on the score sheet.

Elsewhere, Ambleside United Reserves woes continued after they suffered an embarrassing 12-2 home defeat to Carvetti United.

As for Division Two, Ibis won a tight game defeating Langwathby United 2-1.

Cory Robinson scored and Luke Deveney grabbed the winner while Burneside sauntered to a 5-2 home win over Braithwaite.

A Dean Gaskell hat trick saw Keswick's Reserves win 3-2 at Wetheriggs United Reserves.

Keswick have their goalkeeper Dan Gaskell to thank after he made a crucial penalty save.

In Division Three all games were frozen off, while only two Austin Wren Cup games were played in Division Four where a Jordan Hodgson brace helped Pirelli to a 4-3 win at Carleton Banks.

Lee Hucul and Jamie Boyce also got on the score sheet for the visitors.

Dent Reserves also managed to progress after beating Penrith Saints 4-1.
