Keswick 1
Appleby 0
KESWICK won The Senior Challenge Cup after a hard fought 1-0 win over Appleby at Parkside Road thanks to Declan Robinson late header.
In what turned out to be a cagey affair, Robinson finally broke the deadlock 12 minutes from time when he rose to head home a brilliant cross from Richard Bannister.
In the first half, Keswick's Jamie Little blazed over while, at the other end, Jordan Crawford had a header well saved by Lee Meddings before have a header ruled out for off side.
Keswick captain Stephen Hilton then fired narrowly wide of Tony Ousby's right hand post.
In the second half, Keswick started well and grew as the half progressed.
Bannister fired wide before Little forced a good save out of Meddings who then denied Christopher Rowley.
Keswick finally got the break through with 12 minutes left as a superb delivery from the right by Bannister was met by Robinson whose header finally beat Meddings to score.
In reply, Appleby's Josh Hall fired over the bar but Keswick held to claim the cup.
