Keswick claimed a stranglehold on the Division One title after battling to a 1-0 win at Ibis on Tuesday night.

Keswick, who were fresh from their Benevolant Trophy Cup triumph over Pirelli the previous week, won after Andy Rigg claimed the match winner midway through the second half.

Second-placed Kendal United dropped further points as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Ibis on Saturday. Ibis went ahead through Cory Robinson, but Kendal equalised near the death through a late own goal.

In the other games, bottom-of-the-table Unisun Athletic stunned league holders Appleby with a 2-1 win. However, Appleby bounced back from the weekend defeat after a commanding 4-1 home win over Penrith Reserves on Tuesday. Dylan Critchley, Jordan Crawford, Matt Branthwaite and David Nugent scored the goals.

Kirkoswald defeated Ambleside United 2-1 on Saturday with goals by Robbie White and Luke Boyle, while on Tuesday they battled to a 3-1 victory over Wetheriggs United.

Lunesdale United eased their relegation worries with a 4-1 home win over Kendal County Reserves, bouncing back from their 2-0 High Sheriff's Cup semi final defeat to Wetheriggs United at the weekend.

Sedbergh Wanderers were narrow 2-1 winners over Ambleside United on Tuesday in Westmorland League Division Two.

Kendal United Reserves battled back for a point as they came from 4-2 down to draw 4-4 with Shap. Joe Gordon scored a brace, while Jordan Archer Nelson and Declan Thompson also found the net.

Kendal United were also in action on Monday night as they drew 3-3 at Ambleside United Reserves. Jordan Archer Nelson, Cameron Trew and Matt Regan were on target for Kendal.

Staveley United put five past United Reserves in a 5-1 win, while Langwathby United won two on the bounce after a 4-2 win over Carleton Banks and a 4-0 midweek win over Greystoke.

Keswick Reserves drew 2-2 with Braithwaite. Wetherigg United Reserves closed in on the Division Two title after victories over Greystoke and a last gasp 2-1 win at Burneside.

Dent defeated Coniston 4-3, while Pirelli reached the Mason and Freeman Cup Final after a 4-3 win over Burneside.

Ibis Reserves booked their place in the final of The High Sheriff's Cup after they knocked out Ullswater United in a 2-0 win, Dean and Conor Stephenson scoring the crucial goals.

Windermeres Reserves edged AFC Carlisle 3-2 in Westmorland League Division Three, while Penrith Royal defeated Penrith Saints 5-2.

Kirkoswald Reserves beatEden Thistle 1-0, while Lunesdale United Reserves defeated Endmoor KGR Reserves 2-1.
