It proved to be an action-packed weekend across The Westmorland Football League, after teams from all three divisions battled it out for points.

In Division One, Keswick picked up a much-needed win after they defeated Wetheriggs United 3-1.

The defending champions did well to win the game after they had a player sent off in the first half. Despite the disadvantage, Tom Atkinson, Steve Hindmarch and Richard Bannister found the net as the team from Fitz Park climbed up the table.

In the other games, Kendal United's winning run came to an end after they crashed to a 3-1 away defeat at newly promoted Pirelli.

Ibis and Sedbergh Wanderers battled out a 2-2 draw. Ibis had gone 2-0 ahead, but after seeing a player sent off, Sedbergh battled back through Shaun Gardner.

Burneside continued their promising start to the season after they defeated Kendal County Reserves 3-2 at Parkside Road. Scott O'Callaghan scored a brace while Lee Mc Neill was also on the score sheet.

In the final game of the division Sean Elliott scored a brace as Kirkoswald defeated Ambleside United 4-0.

Endmoor KGR continued to lead the way at the top of Division Two after they collected a comfortable 4-0 win at Staveley United. Bradley Hodgson scored twice, while Michael Teasdale and Matthew Wilson were also on target.

Kendal United Reserves and Braithwaite battled out a dramatic 5-5 draw, Windermere Reserves won 3-1 at Keswick Reserves, while Greystoke defeated Eden Thistle 2-1.

In Westmorland League Division Three, Ambleside Town edged out AFC Carlisle 3-2, Ben Collinson scored a hat trick after Appleby Reserves routed Burneside Reserves 8-2, Penrith Academy defeated Endmoor KGR Reserves 4-1, while Penrith Royal defeated Kirkoswald Reserves 5-1.

Penrith Town were also victorious after they edged out Penrith Saints 2-1.
