SIX games survived the weather in The James Cropper Westmorland Football League on a miserable Saturday afternoon.

In Division One, Appleby crashed to a surprise 1-0 home defeat to Kirkoswald.

Appleby, who missed out on an opportunity to close the gap on league leaders Keswick, did well to get the game on in what was the only Division One fixture played.

Kirkoswald had to play the second half with ten men after Jake Mounsey was sent off, but managed to pick up the win thanks to Nicholas Jake's solitary strike.

Greystoke routed AFC Carlisle 4-0 in Division Two, while in The Mason and Freeman Cup, Richard Bannister's five-goal haul guided Keswick Reserves into the next round after an emphatic 7-1 win at Castletown United.

In the final cup game, Dent defeated Eden Thistle 4-1.

In Division Three, Penrith Royal eased past Penrith Saints with a 10-1 win, while Connor Winn and Chris Ladds guided Sedbergh Wanderers Reserves to a hard-fought 2-1 win at Langwathby United.
