CARTMEL-based racehorse Chief Dan George has been pulled out of this weekend’s Scottish Grand National at Ayr and will not race again this season.
The Chief, who was vying for favouritism for the race was withdrawn by trainer Jimmy Moffatt after a blood test on Tuesday found his blood was not quite right.
Moffatt took the decision to rest him for the remainder of the season as he does not want to risk The Chief, a Cheltenham Festival winner last month.
