THE Breeders Cup meeting in the US is something a bit different with million-dollar races by the fistful. Torrential rain at Monmouth, New Jersey for Friday's card did not help the
spectacle but Achill Sound's good second was a timely pointer to today's big Racing Post Trophy race at Doncaster (3.40).

Achill Sound's trainer Aidan O'Brien saddles Frozen Fire and King of Rome, who could be anything, but City Leader mastered Achill last time out and represents the best form in the
race.

John Gosden's RIDGE DANCE was not far behind that horse in the Royal Lodge, noted running on really strongly, and is is a likely improver.

Gosden's has a very good yardstick in top-class Raven's Pass and the Selkirk colt can be fancied to to be there at the business end at favourable odds.

Paul Nicholls has not quite hit the ground running over the jumps but expected an Aintree winner in the first race with QRACKERS (1.10).

Jonjo O'Neill likes to win at Liverpool and his SPECTAIT (3.20) looks a high-class recruit to this game and is napped. Well fancied for last year's Cambridgeshire when trainer by Sir Mark
Prescot, he never figured in that competitive affair but the Spectrum gelding shoould be primed to go places with this moderate prize as a springobard.

At Newbury SAVARIN (1.15) and LINAS SELECTION(2.50) are ones to note in the markets.
