STUDENT Jade Brindle, of Birtwistle Avenue in Colne blitzed her leg of the relay up Accrington Road in Burnley.
The Pendle Leisure Centre volunteer, 17, said she got carried away with adrenaline thanks to the pumped up crowd.
She said: "I didn't even realise how fast I was going until I stopped. Everyone was saying about how fast I went but it was just so fantastic I didn't even notice."
