KENDAL Classic Club are running the Blencarn Classic Scramble on Sunday, June 5 at Lownthwaite Farm, Milburn, near Penrith.
Classic bikes from the the 60s to the 80s will fight it out just like they used to at tracks like Brownrigg Fell, Bootle and Helsington, Kendal.
Ex-British champion Vic Allan has entered, and it is hoped ex-Northern Centre champion Norman Barrow will also make an appearance.
All the old British bikes including Triumphs, BSA, DOT, Matchless and Tribsas will be in action, with the more recent Maicos, Yamahas and CCM’S fighting it out in the twinshock classes.
The track will be signposted from M6 j40, turn off the A66 Penrith to Brough road at Kirkby Thore, 12 miles east of Penrith.
Practice gets under way at 10am and racing starts at 11.30pm The club will also be hosting the annual Nostalgia Trial and Scramble on August 20-21 at Holme Farm, Sedbergh.
