KENDAL’s latest motorbiking talent showed his potential for the future as he landed his first victory of the Thundersport GB Aprilla Superteens Championship at Donington at the weekend.

Bradley Perie,12, headed to the Midlands for round two after climbing to the top of the newcomer standings at Brands Hatch, but he has been forced to alter his goals for the season after one victory and two second places.

On Saturday Perie put his Aprilia RS 125 on the front row of the grid in third spot but lifted his position to second by the end of the first race.

In race two, the youngster missed out on first place by 0.056 as he again had to settle for second, but an epic battle ensued in the final race as Perie exchanged the lead several times with one of his main rivals.

But he held his nerve to win by the narrowest of margins - 0.096.

He said: “After missing out on the win by such a small margin in race two there was no way I was going to miss out in race three.

“I think i would have rather crashed trying to win than take second place. My main focus this year was to win the newcomers championship but now things have changed as I am second in the main championship.

“My new goal is to win the Thundersport GB Aprilia Superteens in my first year.”
