KENDAL Town Ladies picked up a much needed win in a 4-1 victory at Workington Ladies.
Town got off to the perfect start in the first half when Joanne Thompson drove forward and played the ball through to Lauren Downham who slotted the ball home.
Workington kept battling and pulled one back before the half time break through a headed goal from the corner.
With the blustery conditions blowing in their favour, Kendal seized control in the second-half.
Town's dominance in the second half was rewarded when Heather Ramsay ran on to a through ball from Downham to make it 2-1 to Town.
Elsie Atkinson then scored a fantastic edge of the box effort after being set up by Downham before Thompson sealed the win with an extraordinary effort scoring direct from a corner.
Kendal travel to Leigh RMI this Sunday.
