PRIMARY school children have netted themselves the chance to represent South Lakeland at a regional event.
Staveley Primary School's netball team beat several other schools en route to winning the South Lakes School Games.
Despite poor weather, more than 50 schoolchildren battled it out for supremacy on the netball court at Cartmel Primary School.
Lindale Primary, Leven Valley, from Cartmel, Heversham and Arnside, from Dallam and Staveley, St Martin's and St Mary's schools from the Lakes School area all participated.
Staveley managed to come through the round robin tournament without dropping a single point and they were crowd champions after seven rounds of play.
They will now go on to represent the South Lakes at the Level 3 School Games final in Carlisle in June.
