OLESIA Winder, of Glaxo Hoad Hill Harriers, won the under-11's girls' race in the Mid Lancs Cross Country League fixture at Lawson's Ground, Blackpool, on Saturday. She led home a field of 52 runners to clock 8-15 - six seconds ahead of Chorley AC's Emily Warren.
In the senior men's race Kendal's Alasdair Russell (33-42) placed third behind Border's James Douglas (32-30) and Chris Steele (33-19) of Team North Cumbria. Dave Fulford (36-18), of Glaxo Hoad Hill Harriers, turned in an excellent performance to finish 20th overall from a field of nearly 200 runners.
