HOLME A and Bowness A can continue to set the pace at the top of Division One in the Kendal and District Bowling League.

Holme A produced an excellent 10-0 win against Kings Arms Hale A which put them in joint top spot with Bowness A who produced their third 8-2 win of the season, this time away to Lower Holker A.

Reigning champions Victoria A are close on their tails only two points adrift on 22 points after their 8-2 away win at fifth-placed Netherfield A.

In Division Two, Crosthwaite A continued their winning form alongside Allithwaite A, Crosthwaite A beat Levens B 9-1 and Allithwaite defeated Subscription A by the same scoreline.

The two are closely followed by Milnthorpe A who have also shown some good early season form, this week winning 8-2 at home to Netherfield C.

Division Three leaders Ambleside A used their home advantage to its maximum this week, producing a 9-1 win over Ingleborough A. Lindale B are second after their 7-3 win over Ambleside B. Holme C, in third, ran out 6-4 winners against Allithwaite B.

Leading the way in Division Four are Heversham A who remain unbeaten after this week’s 8-2 win over Levens C.

Second-placed Subscription B picked up a 7-3 win at Milnthorpe B. Burton B and Langdale are also keeping the pressure on, Burton B drew 5-5 at Sedbergh nd Langdale won 8-2 at home to Burneside B.

Endmoor B are the only unbeaten team in Division Five after their excellent 9-1 win at home to Holme D which keeps them six points ahead of their nearest rivals, Arnside B who won 8-2 against Lindale C.

Victoria C, in joint third, beat Ingleborough B 9-1 to keep them in touch alongside Lower Holker C who enjoyed a10-0 whitewash over Heversham B.

This week, the newly formed Division Six played its first fixtures with Burneside C and Subscription D winning 8-2 against Lindale D and Staveley C respectively.
