HOLME A and Bowness A remain unbeaten at the top of Division One in the Kendal and District Bowling League after two more impressive wins.

Leaders Holme A used home advantage to maximum effect, racing to a dominant 8-2 2 win over Victoria A.

Second-placed Bowness A, who are two points behind, won 7-2 away at Netherfield B.

The top two have opened up a five point lead over last year’s title holders Victoria A who now sit in third place with Levens A only one point behind after their confident 6-4 home win over KA Hale A.

Crosthwaite A continue to dominate in Division Two and underlined their position at the top with a 10-0 win over Milnthorpe A. Lindale A moved into second place following their strong 7-3 away win at Staveley A while Allithwaite A slipped into third place following their 5-5 result at home to Kirkby Lonsdale A.

Ambleside A are unbeaten and eight points clear at the top of Division Three after a confident 7-3 win over Abbot Hall who stared the day in joint third place.

Second placed Lower Holker B had a strong away win, winning 7-3 at Bowness B. Lindale B also sit in joint third place after a 7-3 win over Allithwaite B.

Heversham A have started their season confidently in Division Four and the leaders eased seven points clear thanks to an 8-2 victory over Staveley B. Subscription B, in second, came away from Sedbergh with a7-3 while third-placed Langdale remain strong at home, beating Burton B 8-2.

Netherfield D produced their best result of the season to date, 8-2 at home to Burneside B, which keeps them mid-table but in touch with the higher teams.

In Division Five, Windermere are joint second after a 10-0 whitewash against Holme A. Arnside B who also pulled off an 8-2 home win over Victoria C The pair are both four points behind leaders Endmoor B who won 6-4 against Kirkby Lonsdale B.

Fourth-placed Lindale C battled to a 7-3 win at Allithwaite C.

Windermere D are the only unbeaten team in the new Division Six, a 7-3 win at Staveley C stretching their lead at the top to five points.

Second place is held by Bowness C who won 9-1 at league newcomers Milnthorpe C and in joint third place Burneside C beat Endmoor C 8-2.
