THE Top two team in Division One in the Kendal and District Bowling League produced the best results of the week as leaders Bowness A beat Burneside A 9-1 while second placed Holme A beat Burton A by the same scoreline.

Bowness keep top spot with 54 points and Holme A in second place with 51 points.

Levens A moved into third place after beating last year’s title holders Victoria A 7-3 while Lower Holker A secured a welcome third win of the season, beating KA Hale A 6-4.

In Division Two, a top of the table clash saw second placed Crosthwaite A beat leaders Lindale A 7-3 to close the gap to one point. Third place Allithwaite A are a further four points behind after they beat Netherfield C 8-2.

Subscription A remain in touch with the top three thanks to a 7-3 home win over Staveley A.

In Division Three, leaders Ambleside A are nine points clear after beating Holme C 9-1. Lower Holker B are second place thanks to an 8-2 win over Allithwaite B.

Lindale B and Abbot Hall sit in joint third place. Lindale B's 9-1 win over Windermere B and Abbot Halls 5-5 draw at Hawkshead keeps them just one point behind second place Lower Holker B.

Heversham A remain in good form in Division Four and enjoyed a narrow 6-4 win over KA Hale C.

Second-place Burton B produced some fine away form at Milnthorpe B, winning 7-3 while third-placed Langdale beat Subscription B 9-1 .

Division Five is led by Endmoor B whose strong home win 9-1 over Lindale C keeps them four point ahead of joint second Victoria C who won 6-4 away at Allithwaite C and Arnside B who were strong 7-3 winners at home over Lower Holker C.

Burneside C lead Division Six, a 9-1 win over third-placed Bowness C keeps them out in front by four points over Windermere D who produced a strong 7-3 away win at Subscription D.
