AS the Kendal Bowling League begins the second half of the season, it appears to be a three horse race for the Division One title.

Holme A are top, just two points ahead of Victoria A with Bowness A in third place, a further six points adrift - their hopes damaged after losing 6-4 to the leaders.

Victoria A narrowed the gap thanks to their 9-1 win against Holme B.

Netherfield B did their hopes of staying in the division no harm with a 7-3 win at Windermere A.

Lindale A continue to dominate top spot in Division Two, thanks to a strong 9-1 win against visiting Arnside A while second-placed Crosthwaite A produced a comfortable 8-2 win over Victoria B.

But Third-place Allithwaite A cannot be ruled out, an 8-2 win at Milnthorpe A keep them in the mix.

Ambleside A are racing away with it in Division Three, a 9-1 win over Endmoor A sees them 17 points clear at the top.

Second-placed Abbot Hall beat Ambleside B 7-3 and third-placed Holme C beat Endmoor A 9-1.

Just nine nine points separate fourth placed Ingleborough A and bottom of the table Allithwaite B so all is still to play for to avoid those relegation spots.

Burton B are six points clear at the top of Division Four thanks to a 10-0 win over Staveley B after second-placed Heversham A lost 7-3 at Subscription B 7-3 earlier in the week.

Crosthwaite B sit in third place thanks to a 9-1 win against Milnthorpe B and Subscription B sit in fourth.

In Division Five, Victoria C are seven points behind leaders Arnside B after a convincing 9-1 win over Kirkby Lonsdale B. Arnside B were equally as impressive, beating Holme D 8-2.

The top three teams in Division Six all won, leaders Burneside C Victoria D 7-3, second-placed Windermere D won 9-1 at Endmoor C and Lindale D in third won 6-4 at Bowness C.
