WINDERMERE brothers Billy and Freddy Blaydes emerged victorious in their age groups at the Cumbria County Tennis Championships, held in the last week of August at both Ulverston and Carlisle.
Billy caused an upset by beating the number one seed James Hale from Bitts Park, Carlisle 4-6, 6-3, 10-4.
Freddy beat Finn Logue from Chatsworth, Carlisle 4-1, 4-2 in the Boys 10U singles and then went on to win the Boys 10U Doubles title with Oscar Morgan from Ulverston, beating Finn Logue & Casey Pattinson in the final 5-4, 5-3.
Both Billy and Freddy have had a great season, representing the county at 12U and 14U and 9U and 10U respectively, and are looking forward to the new season's training at Bolton Arena.
