Windermere Men's Hockey comfortably beat Winnington Park 4-2 on Saturday to stay level at the top of North 2 West, despite having a heavily changed side.
Mere's Nat Smith opened the scoring but Winnington quickly responded with a close range equaliser before the always impressive Will Dolman gave Mere the half-time lead with a short corner drag flick.
Dogged Winnington equalised when Mere lost concentration, but that re-galvanised the Cumbrian men who went ahead again through Smith.
Mere skipper Keenan Quill then made certain of maximum points with a fourth goal.
However, it was stalwart defender Tom Maloney who got the Man of the Match vote.
Mere are on the road again this coming weekend at Alderley Edge.
