One of the highlights of the team squash season at Kendal Squash Club is the hot contest between the B team and the C team, where this year the B team took the honours four matches to one.
At one, the very experienced left-hander Graeme Braithwaite proved too strong for the C team captain Russ Lilliebridge who stepped up to play the first string match.
Graeme took the match three games to one.
At number two there was a long and bruising battle between Steve Couper for the B team and the C team’s Joel Howse.
The closely contested match went all the way with Joel pipping Steve 15-11 in the fifth. At three Ben Cock beat Ian Garnett in straight games.
Team Captain Shayne Holliday maintained the B team's wins in another five game marathon, beating Steve Warner, who stepped up from first reserve to play at number four 15-8 in the fifth.
The fifth string reserves drafted in to both teams. The B team’s Richard Irvine ousted the C team’s Paul Waiting in four games. The season is yet young, but the B team remain unbeaten.
