THE Westmorland Gazette welcomes the start of a new sports blog this week titled ‘Full Time Whistle.’
The blog aims to boost online coverage of a wider variety of local sports in the Westmorland area giving more ‘behind the scenes’ access to our readers.
Local resident Richard Edmondson, who previously ran a blog for the Gazette called ‘Black and White army’, will be the main contributor to Full Time Whistle.
The 36-year-old is a freelance sports photographer and wants to increase his coverage with the new blog.
The Kendal-born writer is a passionate supporter of both Wigan Athletic FC and Blackburn Rovers FC.
He also has a self-confessed love for non-league football, stating the footballing environment is second to none.
Edmondson regularly contributes to the Gazette with reports on Kendal Ladies Hockey and a weekly football round up - however he is hoping to deliver the special detail in his new blog.
“I want to provide the readers with more in depth information, player profiles, behind the scene access as well as match reports," he said.
