Only one game survived the frost and snow at the weekend, with Windermere Men picking up a priceless 4-3 win at Bebington, writes Richard Edmondson.
The result sees the team go fourth in the division.
All the other teams will be aiming to return to action this weekend, as the games become more important as the season progresses.
Kendal Ladies Hockey Firsts face two games, as they travel to play eighth-place Sheffield Hallam on Saturday before hosting Timperley on Sunday in a game which is being played at Casterton School.
Positive results in both matches will see the inform Ladies Team close in on top spot.
Kendal's Second Team are also set to return as they host second placed Wigton at Kirkbie Kendal Schools' Cinderovens facility. The game will start at the later time of 4.15pm.
The Thirds will also be playing as they travel to face Wigton 2nds on Sunday, with Kendal 3rds aiming to continue their progression in the league.
Kendal Men entertain seventh-placed Cheetham Hill, the Greens looking to regain some form after a series of poor results.
The Men's Second team will travel to play Keswick 3rds, with the Greens looking to continue their development in what is their first full season.
In the other games, Windermere Mens' First Team host Winnington Park, while their seconds travel to play Ulverstonbased South Lakes Men's Second Team.
Windermere Ladies are also in action as they travel to Lytham St Annes, with their second team hosting Kirkby Stephen on Sunday.
Ambleside Ladies will make the trip to face South Lakes Ladies in a very difficult contest for the youthful team.
