LUNESDALE Lawn Tennis Club in Ball Lane, Caton, celebrated the re-opening of their grass courts with an Open Day.
The courts were re-seeded over the winter in a £14,000 project. At the Open Day groundsman Eric Beniston officially opened the courts, before an umpire's chair was dedicated to Allan Bowers - who helped saved the club from closure in the 1970s - who died in the autumn.
New members are welcome at the club, with half price membership available for just over £50 for the first year.
