The Kendal and District Bowling League saw plenty of competitive games in another entertaining round of action.

In Division One, Holme A pulled clear at the top of the league after a comfortable 8-2 win at Netherfield A. Victoria A, who remained second in the division, lost their undefeated record after they fell to a surprise 6-4 home defeat to Bowness A.

In the other games Holme B defeated Netherfield B 6-4, while Burneside A defeated Lower Holker A 7-3. Windermere A whitewashed Netherfield C 10-0, while Levens A won 7-3 at Lindale A.

Burton A opened up a six point gap at the top of Division Two after a 7-3 win at Abbot Hall A. Crosthwaite A remained in touch after a 7-3 home win over Allithwaite A, while Staveley A also remained in contention after they defeated Milnthorpe A 9-1.

The other games in the division proved to be one sided, as Lower Holker A and Levens B both won 7-3, while Kirkby Lonsdale defeated Ambleside A 9-1.

In Division Three Ambleside B slipped to a 8-2 defeat to Burton B, while Arnside A won by the same score to beat Endmoor A.

Holme C and Ingleborough A won 7-3, after they saw off Lindale B and Windermere B respectively, while Hawkshead and Sedbergh edged to 6-4 wins.

Division Four was relatively close, as many teams battled to narrow wins.

Subscription B and Allithwaite B both edged to 6-4 victories, while Netherfield D and Victoria C drew 5-5.

The other games were more comfortable as Windermere C and Crosthwaite B won 8-2, while Bowness B defeated Levens C 7-3.

Division Five remains the tightest division with up to seven teams in contention for the title. Lindale C remained a point in front at the top after a comfortable 8-2 home win over Staveley B.

Kirkby Lonsdale B, Milnthorpe B, Burneside C, and Lower Holker C also ran out comfortable winners

In Division Six Abbot Hall B remain two points clear at the top after they defeated Milnthorpe C 8-2. Heversham C bear Subscription C 8-2, while Victoria D, Allithwaite D and Staveley C edged to 6-4 wins.

Subscription D rounded things off with a 7-3 home win over Endmoor D.
