Following the goldsuccess of the GB women’s kockey team this summer, people across the country have been to inspired to pick up their sticks and get involved in the sport.

Following this success, Ambleside Hockey Club is inviting players of all ages, experience and ability to try out hockey for themselves at their HockeyFest event on Tuesday, September 6.

HockeyFest is the perfect introduction to hockey, with a series of fun activities and challenges to build up skills, as well as a chance to meet new friends, ahead of the new season.

Prizes will be on offer as players take part in a series of Olympic-themed hockey challenges, including taking on Ambleside’s own Goalkeeper in a Penalty Shootout.

A free event, suitable for all the family, HockeyFest will place  from 7.30pm-9.30pm at Kirkbie Kendal School's astroturf.

The HockeyFest is a national campaign, organised by the National Governing Body, Great Britain Hockey, in association with Notts Sport.
