Army Reservist Calvin Routledge from Ambleside paired up with fellow part-time soldier Alex Gaspar to beat the best Regulars from the Army, Royal Marines and Navy to win the Military Class in this years Original Mountain Marathon over two days in Glentrool, Scotland.
Competing in the gruelling Long Score Class and covering almost 50 miles over arduous, boggy, mountainous terrain they managed to overcome the challenging conditions and minimal visibility to navigate successfully to victory in just under 13 hours.
