Only four games were played in The Kent Valley Junior Football League after the rain washed out a majority of the junior games.

Heavy and persistent rain during Thursday and Friday as well as the deluge of rain from Saturday night made a lot of the pitches unplayable.

With the nature of the conditions only one game was played in the Under 16 league after Grange United picked up a crucial 4-2 win at Heathwaite. Aidan Pearson scored as hat trick while Morgan Denison was also on target.

Heathwaite made Grange work for the win after George Feeney and Jack Ingram scored, however Grange held out for the crucial three points.

There was also one game played in the Minor Cup after Swarthmoor defeated Milnthorpe United 2-0. Archie Brownlee and Ethan Cole with the goals

The top two in the Jim Troughton under 14 league went head to head after Kendal United Rockets battled out a 2-2 draw with defending league title holders Milnthorpe and District.

Milnthorpe got on the score sheet through Liam Noble and Bradley Johnson, while Kendal United replied through Ethan Moffatt and Ryan Heddle.

In the Lakes Carpet Cleaning under 12 league Kendal United continued their good run of form after they defeated Wattsfield United 3-1 at Netherfield’s 3rd Pitch. Jamie Harris scored a brace while Archie Reid was also on target. Matthew Casson replied for Wattsfield United who remained in fourth place.

There was also a win for Wattsfield who picked up a 3-1 win at Heathwaite. Jesse Wilsden scored a brace while Keira Berry was also on the score sheet.
