MEMBERS of Staveley Judo Club had a fruitful trip to the National Kata Championships where they secured national titles and a clutch of medals.
Kate Mathews and Katie Parkinson won the gold medal for their display of Junokata.
William Elliott, Sam Mawson Romero and Anna Elliott also winning gold for their Kata displays in the under 10 year old section.
Club seniors Gillian and Nick Elliott, Chaz Boyd, Sam Parkinson and Sylvia Barton won silver and bronze medals making the event the most successful to date for the Staveley club.
Senior coach John Barton was delighted with their performance, saying with the opportunities that exist they could one day represent their country in international Katas competitions.
