Kendal Table Tennis Club continued its series of Open Evenings on Tuesday, May 9, at the Kendal Leisure Centre.

Two new players came along to try it out and both ended up joining the club, one immediately and the other in July, once the holiday season is over.

The club is now using three tables (from the original two) and this will shortly become four.

There is a £2 ‘come and try it’ fee and the Open Evenings will continue until the current membership limit of 16 is reached. The Leisure Centre has kindly contributed new nets, which again adds to the quality of the player experience.

For those interested in improving their game, forehand and backhand technique is demonstrated, in slow motion, on the Kendal & District Table Tennis Facebook page, by League General Secretary, Mick Taylor, a top player at the Natland & Oxenholme Table Tennis Club.
