It was an afternoon of shocks in the South Westmorland Senior Bowling League after the top two in Division One both tasted defeated.
Netherfield A who continued to lead the way at the top of the Division suffered a narrow 5-3 defeat at Carnforth A, while second-placed Warton A lost 6-2 at Netherfield B.
In the other games Silverdale A routed Lower Holker A 8-0, Springfield A defeated Bolton Le Sands 7-1, Windermere A won 6-2 at Levens A, while Lindale A won by the same score at Holme A.
In Division Two, Subscription A defeated Bowness A 7-1, Ingleborough A saw off Crosthwaite A 6-2, Kirkby Lonsdale A eased past Abbot Hall A 7-1 and Victoria defeated Arnside A 6-2.
There were also wins for Milnthorpe A and Burneside A won 7-1 at Lower Holker B and Heversham A respectively.
Allithwaite A hold a two point advantage at the top of division three following a hard-fought 5-3 win over Springfield B. Staveley A picked up an emphatic 6-2 win at Sedbergh, while Carnforth B eased past Lindale B 7-1.
Abbott Hall B,Ingleborough B, Burneside B,Windermere B and Netherfield C picked up crucial wins in Division Four.
In Division Five, Bowness B defeated Sedbergh A 6-2, Allithwaite B, Endmoor B, and Subscription C also won by the same score with victories over Arnside B, Staveley B and Silverdale B.
