The 2017-2018 Westmorland Football League season begins this weekend, in what promises to be a highly-competitive campaign across all three divisions.
Throughout the league, three teams have pulled out with Division One champions Pirelli and Kendal united the most notable departures, with Pirelli going back to the Carlisle League, while Kendal United join West Lancashire League Division Two.
The other side to depart is Wetherigg United Reserves, who resigned from Division Two as the club were unable to field enough players for two teams.
However, Kirkby Stephen return to play in Westmorland League Division three, with the team playing their home games at Parrot Park.
In the opening round of fixtures, Division One runners up Keswick begin with a home game against an unpredictable Kendal County Reserve side on Saturday before they travel to play Kirkoswald on Tuesday night.
In the other games, Appleby start on Tuesday night with an away game at Sedbergh Wanderers, while both newly promoted Endmoor and Shap have home games against Penrith Reserve and Wetherigg United respectively.
The other round of games will see Ibis entertain Kendal County Reserve on Tuesday night, while Endmoor also have a midweek home game against Ambleside United.
In Division Two, newly promoted AFC Carlisle and Appleby Reserves both start away from home with tough games at Ullswater United and Keswick Reserves respectively.
Kirkby Stephen mark their return to the Westmorland League with home games against Penrith Royal on Saturday before they entertain Penrith Academy on Wednesday night.
One of the stand out fixtures of the division will see Fred Dixon's Ibis Reserves team entertain Burneside on Wednesday Night.
