Kendals Seconds remained top of Palace Shield Division Two following a hard-fought, five-wicket win at Vernon Carus’s Third Team.

Vernon batted first and were restricted to 145-6. James Park was the main bowler with figures of 3-31.

In reply Ryan Nightingale top scored with 49 while Terry Hunte made 31 as Kendal closed on 146-5 off 34 overs.

Netherfield Seconds stayed top of Palace Shield Division One after picking up a seven-wicket win over Vernon Carus’s Second Team.

Stuart Nixon returned first innings figures of 4-33 as Vernon Carus were all out for 108 off 44.2 overs before Liam Dugdale's undefeated knock of 57 saw Netherfield close their reply on 111-3 off 24.2 overs.

Netherfield Seconds host Longridge Seconds in the battle of the top two while Kendal Thirds host Longridge’s Third Team. Wickets pitched at 1.30pm for both games.
