KENDAL RUFC's crunch derby match against Penrith will take place this afternoon despite widespread sporting cancellations throughout South Lakeland.
The referee inspected the pitch at Mint Bridge this morning and deemed it fit for action this afternoon.
The match kicks off at 2pm.
