<title>Hayton's View - Lewis dashes for scoring accolade</title>
           <link>http://www.thewestmorlandgazette.co.uk/sport/rugby/4355856.Hayton_s_View___Lewis_dashes_for_scoring_accolade/?ref=rss</link>
<description>LAST week was a typical end-of-season day, where in all the National 3 matches the team lower in the league won.
Even champions Nuneaton were beaten by Macclesfield. We turned over a tough Hull Ionians side, who didn't come here to lie down.
Lewis Boyd’s try takes him into third position in the try-scoring table and, with two matches remaining, he has the chance to improve on that, particularly as the two players above him have finished there matches.
Will Voke, on his 18th birthday, looked the part at scrum-half and is obviously one to watch for the future.
On Sunday the Cumbria Under-16 final between Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale took place at Mint Bridge.
In a fiercely competitive match Kendal pinched it in injury time, despite being on the back foot for nearly all of the match. Kirkby attacked particularly through their talented backs, but were held out by a well-organised defence.
Like in any game if you don't get more than one score ahead you are always in danger of losing and that was just what happened with a couple of breakaways in the last seconds.
Our last away trip of the season takes us to &quot;the Bees&quot; - Bradford and Bingly - who are on fire at the moment after demolishing fifth-placed Harrogate in their last match.
At one point in the game they were 43-5 but allowed Harrogate a couple of late consolation tries. In style they are similar to Hull with a big pack and backs, who are obviously influenced by the Rugby League played in their area, and can run straight and attack in the middle. We need to feel like underdogs to produce the effort if we are to give Lewis the chance to top the table. </description>
