Grange-over-Sands tourist guide

Nestling between the Lakeland fells and the soothing seawaters of Morecambe Bay, Grange-over-Sands is a timeless seaside resort that continues to pull in the crowds.

Grange has a relaxed and friendly ambience and on a clear day boasts stunning views as far as Wales and the Isle of Man.

Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the popular town's Edwardian promenade, take a turn around the ornamental duck pond to catch a glimpse of many varieties of waterbirds, stop off for shopping or take a break in the many cosy cafes and tearooms.

The town lies on the Furness line - a scenic coastal route - and within easy reach is the Lakeland and Haverthwaite Railway, which connects with boat cruises from the southern tip of Windermere.
