WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT THE LAKE DISTRICT? The peace – it is like the Lake District but without the crowds.

I have lived in the Dales for 25 years and there is no place like it. I'd be happy to stay here now - it's very relaxing.

AND THE WORST? There is nothing bad about the Dales. I can't think of anything bad around here.

FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT? It is on the border but I really like eating in the Wray Inn. The food is good, the staff are nice and the price is great too.

FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP? Settle is good.

It is a nice town with lots of shops which are good sizes, not too big but there is enough to keep you interested.

SUM UP THE LAKES IN 5 WORDS Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing, exciting and different.
