Guy Ritchie's new film, RocknRolla, had its premiere across the pond at the opening night of the Toronto International Film Festival.
The British filmmaker and some of his cast, including Thandie Newton, Gerard Butler, Idris Elba, Toby Kebbell and Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, attended the packed red carpet premiere at the Elgin Theatre.
"It's gorgeous, man. It's a true honour," said up-and-coming Brit star Toby Kebbell about being at the Canadian festival.
"Control opened the Cannes film festival, which was a huge honour, but then, to come over here, it's stunning. I've got no words for it."
"It's great. My first time at the film festival and I'm loving it, man. It's really a lot of fun," added Idris Elba.
Thandie, sporting a minidress, and Gerard were rushed up the carpet by their publicists without stopping to talk to waiting reporters. Meanwhile, Guy opened up about the creative process - the 39-year-old wrote and directed the film.
"There is nothing easy about the writing process. The directing process is easy, and funnily enough, even walking down here is relatively easy. But writing is the hard bit," he revealed.
"Even the editing is fun. The writing is the tough part. You're sitting there with your laptop and you're there for three months and you don't really come up for air."
Luckily for Guy, everything he does has the support of his superstar wife, Madonna.
"It was great to have her support, she was very supportive," he added.

Hi there, I hope you are all enjoying the spell of fine weather that we are having at the moment!
This winter walk takes you through fine deciduous woodland in the valley of the River Calder, onto slopes above the hurrying river. Near Thornholme, an isolated farmhouse, you cross by footbridges, first the river and then a beck, Worm Gill.
Although the recession has, “technically,” only just begun, most businesses have been noticing a slowdown in the economy for months. A few have been experiencing it for more than a year!
