Beyonce and Jay-Z are reportedly hoping to trademark their daughter Blue Ivy Carter's name.
The superstar couple - who welcomed their first child in January - filed an application to protect the name with the US Patent and Trademark Office, reports The Washington Post.
It's thought the singers want to reserve Blue's moniker in case they decide to use it as a brand name in the future, possibly for a line of baby products.
Beyonce, 30, and Jay-Z, 42, are said to have moved fast, filing the application through Beyonce's company BGK Trademark Holdings around three weeks after their baby was born.
It has been reported that two other people had already attempted to submit applications to use the name themselves. Both requests were denied.
Earlier this week Beyonce was snapped out and about for the first time since giving birth. Wearing a form-fitting red dress, the Bootylicious singer attended a party at her hubby's 40/40 Club in New York.
