England brought in Chris Woakes and Jonny Bairstow as they made two changes to their winning team, in the final NatWest Series match against South Africa at Trent Bridge.

Woakes came in for Steven Finn, unavailable because of a back injury, and as expected Bairstow replaced Jonathan Trott, who was ruled out on Tuesday with a bruised hand.

England, 2-1 up, found themselves setting a total for the first time since the rained-off first match of five in Cardiff after Alastair Cook won the toss on a glorious afternoon.

South Africa left out Ryan McLaren and Lonwabo Tsotsobe as all-rounder Justin Ontong made his first appearance of the series, and Morne Morkel returned.
