Allithwaite and Cartmel Spring Fair well supported

ALLITHWAITE and Cartmel WI’s Spring Fair enjoyed plenty of support.
The speaker at the recent meeting was Susan Renshaw, who talked about the work of the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW), explaining that the organisation’s work focused on small projects to help women in many countries. It was now working on the development of life skills of orphan girls in the Ukraine.
The group’s next meeting is on June 1 at Allithwaite when Sandie Craig will talk about Plants used in Soaps and Cosmetics.
