SMITH Edwin (Eddie) Of Rowan Court, Ambleside, formerly of White Stiles, Kendal, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, 8th November 2018, aged 83 years, much loved husband of the late Joyce, dearly loved step father of Janette, Christine and Peter, a devoted grandad and great grandad, brother to Joan, Alan and Fred, brother-in-law to Christine and a favourite uncle. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Ambleside on Monday, 19th November at 10.30am. Special thanks to Ambleside Health Centre, staff at Rowan Court, District Nurses, St. Mary's Hospice at Home, Nurses of Ulverston and the Hospital Home Care Team of Lancaster who all cared for Edwin with such compassion.
