ROWELL David Martin Passed away peacefully in Furness General Hospital on 3rd April, adored husband of Gill, dearly loved dad of Andy, Nicky and Becky, special grandad of Alfie and beloved brother, will be greatly missed. Service at St Mark's Church, Natland on Thursday, 18th April at 9.15am prior to committal at Lancaster Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations, if so desired, to The Stroke Association. Sign in to add a tributeI just found out about Dave's passing. I'm so sorry to you, Gill, and the rest of the family. Whichever name we knew him by, 'Comedy Boy', 'Comedy Dave', or mostly just 'Comedy', he was always the one in our group with the most outrageous sense of humour and had the ability to never take life too seriously. I will never forget the time he came fishing with us all, and carried about 40 Kg of equipment on his back (cooker, food, kettle, gas) to make sure that the boys were never short of a cup of tea and some toast. Dave was a good sort. He deserved to be with us much longer.
Dave, I never did tell you punchline to the joke about the guy who had an orange for a head. Sorry mate!
