MOORE William Derek It is with great sadness that we announce Derek passed away on 19th June 2020 aged 67 years at Royal Lancaster Infirmary with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Jean, devoted father to Adrian and Ashleigh, father-in-law to Conor, loving and proud pops to Jess, Sophie, Freya and Felicity, loved Brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a true friend to many. He will be greatly missed by us all. Derek was well known as Proprietor of Sutherlands, Spinnery and Castle Dairy Restaurants which were renowned for his colourful and award-winning floral displays. Due to the current restrictions, a private cremation will take place at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Thursday 2nd July 2020. Prior to this, Derek will leave his home at 10am and travel through Bowness and Windermere to allow people to pay their respects. A celebratory service will be arranged at a later date.
