BROOKES Robert Colin Richard, Wendy and families would like to thank everyone for their cards, messages of sympathy and support at this very sad time. Thanks also for donations to Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue in Robert's memory. Special thanks to Robert's neighbours, Neil Galloway and Peter and Barbara Stainton for their prompt actions and for support to us on 5th November. Thanks also to Keith, Lynn and family for friendship over the years. We would also like to thank the police and paramedic who attended on the day and dealt with us in a professional, sympathetic manner; Tony Brock and staff at Edmondson Longmire Funeral Service for the professional, efficient and sympathetic way that they carried out their duties, Helen Coonan for the professional and compassionate funeral service and The Brookside for their catering arrangements.
